Jordan
Hi! My name is Jordan Bonertz, and I am Pyramid Psychology's Counselling Student Intern.
I work with neurodiverse children, teens, young adults, and their families, helping them navigate
life's challenges with greater confidence, self-understanding, and resilience.
Whether you're a parent seeking support for your autistic child, a teen struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, or social challenges, or a young person feeling overwhelmed by the pressures of school, relationships, or identity, you do not have to navigate it alone. I believe every individual deserves to feel understood, supported, and empowered to thrive as their authentic self.
With more than eight years of experience supporting neurodiverse individuals and their families, I have developed a deep appreciation for the unique strengths, challenges, and perspectives that neurodivergent people bring to the world. I am passionate about creating an affirming, supportive space where clients can build on their strengths, develop practical coping strategies,
and enhance their overall quality of life.
As a former varsity athlete, I also understand the unique demands and pressures faced by young athletes. From performance anxiety and perfectionism to injury recovery, burnout, and balancing athletic identity with other aspects of life, competitive sport can be both rewarding and challenging. I have a particular interest in supporting female athletes and student-athletes in
developing resilience, self-compassion, and a healthy relationship with both performance and
wellbeing.
My approach is strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and person-centered. I strive to meet
clients where they are, bringing curiosity, authenticity, and compassion into each session.
Together, we can explore challenges, celebrate strengths, and work toward goals that align with
your values and vision for the future. I am particularly interested in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions, and family-centered approaches that support meaningful and lasting growth.

I am also passionate about learning more about neurodiversity, mental health, and human development. These experiences have shaped my belief that growth happens when people feel
safe, understood, and empowered to be themselves, values that guide both my personal life and my work with clients
