“I couldn’t be happier with the happiness path program. The changes in confidence and self worth in my daughter are so noticeable and she seems much more comfortable in her own skin. We aren’t having explosive arguments, we now have calmer & more thought out disagreements which helps our relationship and I find she is wanting better for herself. She wasn’t happy I signed her up but she really enjoyed the classes and said any classes offered after she wants to attend.”

What is one thing you've started doing or changed over the past 6 weeks that's making a difference in your life?
"I've started paying attention to my emotions and learning how to handle them in a way that supports me."

Age 15
The mind is everything!
“My daughter felt a comradery with the girls in the class and after having a hard time at school. She took a lot from the class such as positive self talk and meditation to shut off all the noise.”
Amanda
daughter age 14
She is now getting in the car after class and saying things like "you would have been so proud, I actually socialized AND I discovered I have things in common with _____". I've also noticed her opening her journal more at home to record things, at first she would tell me "we don't HAVE to write in it mom." when I would ask if her journal was up-to-date and she was ready for the next class. She is gaining confidence and starting to realize the benefits of mindfulness. I think it was all very strange for her at first, but now she is seeing people are not out to judge her and going into social settings with new people isn't so terrifying. There are good people in the world. I am very grateful for all of the lessons, care and support she is getting

"A helpful experience that helps you find yourself."

Age 13
Thanks again for the very helpful sessions. As you said in one of the parent videos - the changes are small and incremental but we see the difference! K was a different person on the ride back from each session than she was going in. So appreciative of you thinking forward on what our teen girls (and their parents) need to navigate these challenges.

Empowering Group for Teen Girls: Thrive Beyond Anxiety and Overwhelm - What you need to know!
01What is The Happiness Path (THP) Group Exactly?
THP is a 7-week group coaching program for teen girls (12-18) focused on building confidence, resilience, managing anxiety, and promoting a healthier self-image. It combines creativity, movement, and emotional resiliency tools to help teen girls navigate life’s ups and downs.
02My teen daughter has a busy schedule. How can she fit this in?
THP is an immersive 7-weeks designed to be efficient and impactful. We meet once weekly on Thursdays for 90 minutes and then offer a second weekly check-in via messaging.
We offer support and structure without overwhelming your teen’s schedule. And 7 weeks flies by!
03What happens if my teens misses a session?
We understand that life happens! Attendance is definitely encouraged as each session is crafted to make the biggest impact while being super engaging and fun. Missed sessions can be supplemented with optional materials and your teen can check in with us for key takeaways.
04How do I know THP will help my teen?
While therapy can focus on healing past wounds and change, this program emphasizes forward movement, practical tools, and community. It complements therapy by providing a growth-oriented environment where teen girls feel welcome, have fun, thrive, and apply what they’re learning in real-time.
05What if the investment is out of reach for us right now?
We understand finances can be an important consideration. Flexible payment plans are available and we’re happy to discuss options that make the program accessible to your family.
06Is it worth the investment?
Absolutely, we believe so! Investing in your teen’s emotional well-being and confidence now sets the stage for a lifetime of resilience, higher self-esteem, and positive choices. The skills she’ll learn are tools that can be used for life.
07What if my teen daughter is resistant to joining?
This is common! Many teens feel unsure at first but quickly find the program fun and rewarding. The group environment is welcoming and engaging. We have designed each week to promote ease and inclusion while teaching impactful tools.
Parent Tip- Start by having an open and honest conversation. Share why you believe THP could benefit her and share how it aligns with solving her current challenges and moves her closer to her hopes, such as reducing stress, feeling more motivated, building confidence, or having better friendships, etc.
Focus on the positive aspects that participants often enjoy like connecting with other girls their age, having a safe space to share what they want, learning fun and simple techniques to feel better. It’s not about “fixing” her, it’s about a personal growth opportunity to explore her strengths.
08Will my teen daughter feel awkward in a group setting?
The pre-jitters of uncertainty are something that happens to just about everyone. The program creates a safe space where everyone is welcome no matter how nervous at the start. Most participants find the group dynamic empowering and reassuring, as they realize they’re not alone.
09What does the movement component involve?
Movement components are built into the program by our Kinesiologist.
Michelle has years of experience creating fun and empowering sessions that build physical strength and confidence while promoting overall well-being. No previous training experience required and alternatives movements are always an option.
10What if my teen doesn't enjoy fitness?
The movement component isn’t about competition or athleticism- although your teen will likely feel more confident, stronger, and more comfortable in her body. Activities are adaptable and focused on promoting self-esteem, positive self-image and joy, not pressure.
11What if my teen daughter is neurodiverse or has a diagnosis that comes with unique needs?
We celebrate each teen’s uniqueness including neurodiversity and believe in the power of connection.
THP is designed to support a range of experiences and is often a great fit for teens navigating mild to moderate challenges such as anxiety, depression or ADHD. While it’s not a substitute for therapy, it can be a valuable complement. We’re happy to connect and explore whether THP is the right fit for your daughter.
12Is THP offered in-person or online?
Both! It is available in-person in Calgary (YYC) and online globally, making it accessible no matter where you’re located.
14My daughter says she doesn't need this- how can I respond?
Teens may sometimes downplay their struggles and may not even realize how much of a difference support could make in their lives. It’s definitely important to acknowledge her perspective and feelings. You can also gently point out the areas where she might want to see change or feels like she’s overwhelmed or stuck. Let her know this isn’t about “fixing” here, rather what could make her life a little easier and a little more enjoyable.
15Can I encourage her without forcing her to join?
Absolutely. Sharing stories or testimonials from other teens who have gone through the program is a great place to start. You can also offer her a short chat before group starts with Chantal or Michelle with no pressure to join as a way of getting to know the facilitators a little more.
13How many teens are in each group?
Group sizes are kept small to ensure personalized attention and a supportive atmosphere. We aim to have a minimum of 5 and no more than 10 girls per group.
17Is it ok to sign up my teen even if she's hesitant?
Yes, as long as you’ve had a conversation with her and she understands why you are enrolling her. Many teens who are initially hesitant warm up quickly once they attend the first or second session and experience how welcoming and fun the program is. You can also book a call with the facilitators ahead of time to do a mini intro to your teen before group starts.
16What if my teen daughter is worried about being judged by other girls in the group?
This is common thought! She’s not alone and you can reassure her that the group is one where everyone is navigating similar challenges. The program is set up to welcome everyone with ease and create a safe space of kindness and mutual support. Many girls come in feeling nervous at first but quickly feel comfortable once they meet the group.
18What if she tries it and doesn't want to continue?
We encourage every teen to attend at least three sessions to get a full sense of the program’s environment. If she genuinely feels that it’s not for her after that, we are happy to have a conversation with you and discuss alternatives.
19How can I show her the value of the program?
The best way to introduce THP is by connecting it to what matters most to your teen. If she’s having a tough time with friendships, you might highlight how the program can help her feel more confident and handle social situations with more ease. If she’s feeling overwhelmed by school, you can mention how THP teaches tools to manage stress and build confidence in academic settings. Listening to her feelings and perspective is key. Often, framing the program as a way to build independence and feel more in control of her life really resonates with teens.
